Another Milestone in German Rock History!
In the 1980s, many up and coming European bands compellingly started to forge the term “Heavy Metal” to describe this brand-new kind of music. The numerous British bands were precipitously followed by Germany's ACCEPT. The so-called Hard Rock of the 1970s was swiftly and effortlessly forced to its knees. A technical and brutal sound was professed and promptly demanded by the emergent army of fans. ACCEPT scaled speedily and unopposed to the top of the metal heap with their blistering and hard-hitting, signature riffs. As only a few bands ultimately managed, ACCEPT flourished by stamping their autonomous character to their invigorating and groundbreaking musical style. To this day - 30 years later – ACCEPT’s unique, but immediately identifiable bravura is still recognized and admired for its trend setting appeal.
The year is 2012 and ACCEPT have returned to the large stages around the world, more successful and popular than ever. In less than two years’ time, ACCEPT released two new, critically acclaimed and fan-worshipped albums that triggered a colossal cyclone of enthusiasm in the world of heavy metal.
First, ACCEPT’s comeback album BLOOD OF THE NATION was released in August 2010 and conquered the charts in all significant international markets. In addition, it became the most successful chart album in the band's history. From more than 50 "Album Of The Year" Awards for BLOOD OF THE NATION from prestigious international media outlets to the crowing title of "Heavy Album Of The Century" from the global TV hit show "That Metal Show", ACCEPT were still not content to rely on their past.
Barely 20 months later – following a worldwide 180-show concert marathon - ACCEPT released their next album, STALINGRAD, which arrived on the charts in similar, high regions as BLOOD OF THE NATIONS. For the first time ever, ACCEPT ruled the official U.S. Billboard charts. Within the European continent, STALINGRAD established itself in the top 15 albums of all releases. ACCEPT have indeed become one the most important rock acts on the planet and are now re-writing history!
Early in September 2012, ACCEPT will offer yet another career highpoint. To the surprise of all heavy metal fans, ACCEPT will launch a musical assault on the United States together with the German Thrash-Metal powerhouse KREATOR.
Both acts incessantly deliver their unmistakable trademark: that of tough, indestructible steel that survived the test of time. This is Heavy Metal Made in Germany ... made today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow!
What can be more magnificent than for these two legends to embark on a major tour together: The German Teutons ... ACCEPT & KREATOR … will storm American stages with the best weapons they have to offer: Wolf Hoffmann and Mille Petrozza. The TEUTONIC TERROR ATTACK 2012 - a milestone for German rock history!
Following the U.S. dates, the touring procession moves on. October 18th, 2012 marks the start of the "European Tour Part 2: Stalingrad" in Athens, with additional, highly anticipated shows in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Scandinavia, Russia and Germany.
